One-on-One Senior Care Services and Personalized Visitations

Friends for Life offers flexible in-home senior care assistance with an emphasis on personalized, one-on-one visitations that offer real interaction and are customized to provide exactly what you need.

Personalized visits can bridge the gap because they are designed to be interactive and flexible to keep up with your changing needs. As a result, caregivers become extended family, helping each client in their environment and keeping the family abreast and involved. Friends for Life strives to support both the client and the family.

So whether taking your dad fishing, walking with your mom through the park, accompanying your loved one to activities, or helping get them acclimated into a new setting (i.e. assisted living or nursing home), you get to create the experience.

What We Offer

Personal Care

As people age, they often develop health conditions that make the simplest activities difficult or impossible to perform. For example, washing and brushing their hair, using the bathroom, or getting showered and dressed can become more challenging. We can provide the senior care services and assistance needed to help senior clients do all the basic tasks they need to keep them healthy and happy including medication reminders.

Companionship Care

The needs of our senior clients often go beyond medical care. Those who live alone long for companionship to help alleviate feelings of loneliness and depression. Our caregivers offer companionship in various situations. For example, clients may need someone to stay with them at home, or they may need a chaperone for outdoor activities. Regardless of the need, our caregivers provide senior home care activities that keep clients engaged and entertained.

Diet & Meal Assistance

Getting the proper nutrition is essential and holds especially true for someone who is elderly, dealing with an illness or injury, or trying to recover. Our non-medical senior home care services can include menu planning and meal preparation that meets our client’s dietary needs. We can also provide transportation and accompaniment to the grocery store and assist with shopping.

Housekeeping

Most people with a loss of mobility or suffering from symptoms of a severe illness cannot keep up with basic household cleaning chores. We understand our clients’ limitations and the need to maintain a clean home and a sanitary living environment. As part of our senior care plans, our companions can provide light housekeeping and laundry services to ensure a clean and healthy living environment.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

We provide ongoing education in caring for seniors who suffer from symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Individuals at all stages of these conditions can benefit from games and exercises designed to engage their memory. Our caregivers engage clients with activities designed to help them retain their memory, promoting longer-lasting engagement and happiness.

Accompaniment Assistance

Many seniors who rely on Friends for Life for senior home care assistance still need to go places away from home. Our caregivers not only accompany clients to medical appointments but also assist with errands, meals with friends, or even sightseeing trips! They provide professional and safe accompaniment services that help our clients promptly get where they need to go. In addition, we can assist with airport arrivals and departures.

24-Hour & Live-In Care

Seniors who require 24-hour home care assistance or live-in senior home care typically need a deeper level of care than those who can do some things for themselves. Our caregivers are available 24/7 to help maintain the home and create a consistent routine that supports our clients’ needs, enhancing their quality of life at home. Additionally, our live-in support offers many unique advantages for clients requiring round-the-clock care at an affordable rate.

Family Respite Care

It isn’t unusual for a relative or spouse to take on the role of caregiver for a loved one. Families often rely on us for respite home care services when they have other life responsibilities or just need a break to take care of themselves. Our caregivers will provide your loved ones with the care they require while you take a much-needed break.
